grandmaster treasure hunter chest running
Im hunting for titles for some time now and will have maxed 9 soon so im missing one more for "people know me" (291 elite skills dont add to the title )
So im going for the grandmaster treasure hunter / source of wisdom titles.
But so far i get oly about 30-40 chests an hour with 25%-30% gold chests. I heard people talking about 70-80 chests an hour or 50% golds. Did this change with the recent updates? I don't see any chance of finding more than one chest per minute (maybe i just don't know the good places)
I know there are some grandmaster tresure hunters around. How did you achieve the title ( i guess it didn't take 400h+. It will for me if i go on like that)
Source of wisdom is even harder i guess
can someone tell me where he made 70-80 chests per minute?

Witman's folly
I can't provide any sound advice as I have not attempted this title yet. But I did read a post about a month back that said the qucikest treasure chest run is Witman's Folly.
Good job with the titles.
Good luck

there are usually 2 chests right outside stygian , in doa....i been chest running there a lot.
i really think anet put those chests out there as a money sink, because u dont even have to fight anything to get them.
too bad all doa skins are crap, and unsellable.

Those Stygian chests aren't all bad. I've been running them a lot and found several gloom shields. The req 9 one fetched a tidy sum, and I'm keeping a req 13 one to go with my warrior's 15k Kurzick sentinel armor. They look pretty nice together.

I heard that running in that area before Mineral Springs with the titan quest active is very easy, though i never tried myself. One of my friends got max Treasure Hunter and he is going for max Wisdom aswell.... So far i let him id 10 of my golds ^^ (only like 7000 more to go...)

Witman's Folly is by FARRRR the Most Chests per Hour if you are just going for a quick treasure hunter title. There are 3 chest spawns in Witman's and its a 2 minute run once you learn the potential spawn points.
As for as golds from it...the skins are horrible here, and they dont have inscriptions of course, etc. I think about the best you could do is get a low req Fellblade here.
But you asked for the most chests per hour, and this is it. Unless those DoA chests they are talking about are quicker, they might be. I'd test both. DoA skins are unusually cheap for new skins..

I ran Melandru's Hope FF Route when I got wisdom/treasure hunter titles. Easy & fast.

I ran Witman's Folly quite often. I think that's by far the easiest/fastest place to run for the title. And compared to Stygian-Chest-Running it' a lot cheaper

Witman's is the easiest.
One thing you need to realise, people lie and exagerate their achievements. Most claims can not be backed up with a stop watch.

I did Hells Pre-Nerf, it was easy and fast, or you can do witmans as well, it seems to be the consensus.

DoA chestruns are fast, and it will get you the Wisdom title at roughly the same rate as your Treasure Hunter title, since those chests seem to drop ~90% golds. The primary downside is that each key is 1.5k, and the majority of the drops are impossible to sell, including req9 DoA-only skins. Gloom Shields still sell for ~100k for req9, but the price will continue to drop rapidly as DoA is overfarmed, so it will become harder and harder to sustain the run unless you already have substantial funds.
As badfish said above, the DoA chests seem to be designed as a gold sink for title hunters. Note, however, that if you're pursuing both Treasure Hunter and Wisdom titles, running DoA may be cheaper than running 600g chests and buying unID golds for 1k.

I think this may be a good idea. Anyone that still has the Defend Droks quest running this area? Send invite...

I tried this briefly, and found that the FF run outside Melandru's Hope and the run in Witman's Folly, mentioned already, are the easiest. The FF run helps a little with the added gold per quest exp, and you can also turn your Kurzick faction into amber and sell it to help keep the keys coming in.

Thats one of the things i thought of
no use giving statistics of gold chests with under 100keys and propper counting
As for the stygian chests:
i get mostly common skins (7/10) and 6 of 10 were gold
not that good
"I ran Melandru's Hope FF Route" what is the FF route?
guess i'll try good old sledge port with a stop whatch and melandrus hope as well.
thx for your help (guess i try to get 100 chests a day for a loooong time)

Right now, I have just over 1000 chests open, and they all pretty much came from this run I do outside Zos Shivros Channel into Boreas Seabed explorable. I get anywhere from 2-5 chests a run and each run takes about 5 minutes. Only catch is you have to have the Halcyon Job quest activated, I can show you in game if you'd like.

Eh, six keys?
six is not enough of a number to get any statistical observation.
Try sixty. Or in the hundreds. Although 90% is rather exaggerated.
My experiences have been around 80% or so.
And yes, I have run a LOT more than six keys
